The Fractal Gallery promotes and exhibits artwork which pushes contemporary boundaries in creative ways. Some of our contemporary boundaries include conventional materials and methods in construction and design which are harmful to nature. This is why we are also committed to environmental conservation.
We want to protect the very nature which inspires us as artists. Although dealing primarily with painting, we also have green, ecologically conscious furniture which has been elevated to functional sculpture.
The Fractal Gallery Furniture is made from materials such as hempboard, which is lightweight and durable. Hempboard is combined with stone, glass, soy-based foam, hemp fabric, and areas designated for living plants.
Unlike trees, the hemp plant is an annual plant which continues to grow 10 to 15 feet after it is harvested every 120 days. We rely on the forests far beyond their ability to renew themselves. Hemp’s biomass production compared with trees is four to one. We should utilize alternative materials which have little to no impact on sensitive ecosystems and their biodiversity. Hemp uses no pesticides, herbicides, or harmful fertilizers. Its woody fibers are compressed together and held by a binding material that is all-natural and free of chemicals such as formaldehyde.
All pieces are available in espresso or walnut finish and made in usa.
